Harrison & Hetherington Ltd conducted the spring sale of Whitebred Shorthorn Bulls and Females on behalf of members of the Whitebred Shorthorn Association on Friday 23rd February 2007.

The pre sale show was judged by Mr A Gourlay, Castlefairn, Moniaive, Dumfriesshire who awarded the Championship to Barlaes Hat Trick an April 2005 bull bred and exhibited by R & M Fergusson, Barlaes, Dalry, Castle Douglas. Sired by Raeburnfoot Talisman with the dam line going back to The Flatt Harold, this bull was knocked down at 2,000gns to Toni Cunningham – Cade, Berscur House, Closeburn, Dumfriesshire.

Parton Spotlight 2nd
Parton Spotlight 2nd

The Reserve Champion Parton Spotlight 2nd a May 2005 bull was bred and exhibited by Messrs Hewson, Parton Farm, Wigton. Sired by Burnedge Robert this bull realised 2,800gns, writing this cheque, Planmajor Ltd, Longrigg, Eskdale, Cumbria.

At 1,000gns High Creoch Commando, a March 2005 bull, sired by Hotbank Spiceboy from G & K Gilligan, High Creoch, Gatehouse of Fleet travels to Devon with Mr S J Palmer, Higher Netton Farm, Hennock, Newton Abbott, Devon.

From the same home as the Champion, Barlaes Covenanter an April 2005 bull, again, sired by Raeburnfoot Talisman, realised 800gns and finds his new home also with Mr Palmer in Devon.
