Harrison & Hetherington Ltd conducted the Spring sale of Whitebred Shorthorn
Bulls on behalf of members of the Whitebred Shorthorn Association on Friday
28th February 2003.
Out of a catalogued entry of 7 bulls only a select entry of 5 bulls was forward.
A crowded ringside not evident at Whitebred sales for a number of years produced
animated bidding resulting in a total clearance.

The judge, Ian Robinson The Mollen Brampton (formerly
of Askerton Castle) awarded the Championship to Parton
Surprise a January 2001 bull bred and exhibited by
Messrs Hewson, Parton Farm, Wigton. Sired by Parton
Governor this bull went on to secure a bid of 2,500
gns. From Mr J Matheson, Mains of Clunas, Cawdor,
Nairn.
The Reserve Championship was awarded to Bloch Jock a February 2001 bull bred
and exhibited George Bell & Co., Bloch Langholm, sired by Bloch Farneyshield
Trevor this bull sold at 1,200gns, writing this cheque Mr Peter Sinclair, Resipole
Farm, Acharacle, Argyll.
Bloch Jimmy a June 2001 bull from the same home as the Reserve Champion makes
the journey to Gatehouse of Fleet to join the Ardwall Herd of A.P. McCulloch
at 2,000gns.
High Creoch Fergus (March 2001) exhibited by G & K Gilligan, High Creoch,
Gatehouse of Fleet sold at 1,200gns to Messrs G.H. White & Sons, Hartsgarth,
Newcastleton.
Kale Moon Shadow (May 2001) exhibited by W & J Thomson, Hownam Grange,
Morebattle, Kelso changed hands at 1,000gns and travels to the Pembrokeshire
home of Reddown Farms, St. Florence, Tenby.
