Harrison & Hetherington Ltd conducted the Autumn Show & Sale of Whitebred Shorthorn Bulls and Females on behalf of members of the Whitebred Shorthorn Association on Tuesday 5th November 2002.

The judge, Association President Ian Henderson awarded the Championship to Raeburnfoot Talisman a February 2001 bull bred by J & M Walker, Raeburnfoot, Eskdalemuir, Langholm and exhibited by D Jackson & Sons, Blackburn, Newcastleton. Sired by Bloch Snowcloud this bull secured a bid of 4,000gns. and now joins the Barlaes herd of R & M Fergusson, Dalry, Castle Douglas.

Hole of Lyne Tommy 3rd

The Reserve Championship was awarded to Hole of Lyne Tommy 3rd a June 2000 bull bred and exhibited by R Telford, Hole of Lyne, Roadhead which failed to meet the reserve and left the ring unsold. Parton Performer an April 2001 bull bred and exhibited by Messrs Hewson, Parton, Wigton changed hands at 1,000gns. to Messrs Moore, Softly, Slaggyford.

The only female entered for sale Whintingstown Bonny Lass was bred by Messrs Leach, Whintingstown Roadhead. Sired by Hottbank Sampson she sold at 400gns to Messrs Pattinson, Hottbank, Bardon Mill, Hexham.
