Beef
Expo 2006 was held at Borderway Mart, Carlisle,
on Friday 2nd June 2006, courtesy of auctioneers,
Harrison and Hetherington Ltd. Organised by the National
Beef Association, the event attracted several thousand
beef producers from throughout the UK and Ireland,
as well as from overseas.

Our stand created much interest, with all the cattle
turned out in fine condition by their owners, the Association
is indebted to everyone who participated in the exhibit,
and would like to thank the sponsors of the demonstration.
We received many enquiries not only from UK farmers
but also from Germany and Poland.

The competition "Guess the combined weight
of the Blue Grey Steers" was won by David Kennedy-Moffat,
Lochmailing, Auldgirth, Dumfries.
